WHO ARE WE?

Located at the social centres of the Malays in Geylang Serai, Singapore, I.V.L Design offers a wide variety of designs which suits our customers’ needs. Ranging from kids to young couples and family-themed clothes. Customers are also able to choose to have use their designs or the designs that we offer.

I.V.L Design started off as a half store clothes alteration shop at Joo Chiat Complex in 1997.

The company subsequently expanded its business at Tanjong Katong Complex in 2000 and offered traditional costumes for sale and tailor-made costumes. We consistently improve our designs with the feedbacks given by customers and follow the latest trend, and currently offers both traditional and modern costumes (e.g. Modern Kurong)

About The Tailor/Designer

Mdm Lim Lam Cheng, also known as Ivy, has over 50 years of tailoring experience. She started her tailoring journey by opening a tailoring school, teaching students on how to sew and cut materials with the right technique. She subsequently opened a retail store at Orchard Road in the 1980s, supplying handmade blouses to other retail shops. She then started at I.V.L Design at Joo Chiat Complex in 1987 and expanded to where it is right now.
